The Twitter exchange between a Celtic fan and Union Berlin is simply outstanding

Josip Juranovic is no longer a Celtic player but is still causing having amongst Celtic twitter.

The Croatian right back sealed his big money move to the Bundesliga with a £10m switch to Union Berlin.

It’s a move that has seen the Hoops quadruple the fee that was paid out for him last summer and, no doubt, sees the player also quadruple his weekly wage.

But as the club bid farewell to Jura, Union Berlin replied with a classy but emotional message:

We know how much you have treasured Josip, and how much he loved playing for Celtic. So please know that we'll look after him, he'll be a hero here, and even though there's not as many of us here, we'll try to shout his name as loud as you ever could. Cheers and love. Eisern!

First class banter and fair play to the Admin.

Josip will be missed at Celtic and it is no secret that they are getting a very fine player.

The Germans sit 3rd in the Bundesliga just five points off Bayern Munich at the top.

Could they be genuine title contenders? Probably not.

But adding Juranovic to their ranks does improve their chances of hanging there or there abouts.
