This story broke this morning when Vital Celtic reported on Ange Postecoglou being linked to Manchester United’s ongoing pursuit for a new manager. You can read it here from our News From Celtic Blogs page.
Four names were put up by Australian media channel Optus Sport on who they believe Manchester United should target, with Ange Postecoglou being one of those names.
If this was Scottish mainstream media outlet posing this question, there would be untold outrage from the Celtic fans but so far, it has slipped under the radar for now. And just as well.
There is no question Ange could do a job for them. Celtic fans have seen enough this season to know that the Aussie manager could probably walk into any club and improve them after what he has done for the Hoops this season.
But, he is our manager and other teams, including Manchester United can just f*** right off with that one.
And these Celtic fans let it be known that they were not happy with the Australian media outlet for even mentioning the gaffer for the job in the first place:
