Sevco fan pleads for Celtic FFP on ‘foreign’ players as Ange’s transfer business has Ibrox rattled

So as the transfer window ‘slams shut’ and we take stock of where we are in terms of our squad, I have to say that we have never looked in such a healthy place in terms of quality.

The mark of a good team is the strength off the bench and Celtic’s is just frightening.

And that’s all down to the prudent spending and incredible talent spotting of Ange Postecoglou.

And the Rangers fans are not happy about it. Not at all.

Many are just raging that their club hasn’t spent a penny, again, this window. Many are just raging full stop.

But when they come out with this belter, you absolutely know they are rattled:

First off, Financial Fair Play only comes into play when clubs spend money they do not have. Something this guy should know full well.

Secondly, what does FFP have to do with spending money on foreign players? What kind of argument is that? Especially when his own club only has two Scots in the squad?

They are rattled. Ange has them, their manager and their board eating out of his hands.

And it is absolutely glorious.

But what is also brilliant is that these fans are so stupidly naive about the financial goings on at their club.

They are not paying attention to their dire fiscal position.

I suppose the only crumb of comfort they can take is that at least UEFA are……..

You lot weren’t complaining when your old club was cheating Hector and buying players you couldn’t afford.

I agree with you Mr piehead. I see your club are getting ahead of the trend, as usual, by not targetting teams best players… rather seeing who’s out of contract and on the cheap. Has worked well so far eh

Sevco only have 10 Scottish players in the entire squad and two of those players have dual nationality, I.e. Souttar and Arfield.
