Phil Mac: Ibrox board prepared to let go two top stars after Glasgow Derby draw

Celtic’s draw with Rangers definitely looks like it has settled the title race.

Ange Postecoglou will never admit it, but even must privately know that the chances of Rangers going unbeaten in the league and us dropping 10 points from now until the end of the season is highly unlikely.

Not impossible, but extremely unlikely.

The form Celtic are in with one loss in a calendar year, would mean a monumental collapse like we have never seen before would need to happen just to let the Ibrox club have a sniff on the trophy.

It just won’t happen.

However, what is likely to happen is that after that the draw with Celtic on Monday, the Govan club will look to sell Morelos and Kent.

That’s according to Phil Mac Ghiolla Bhain in his latest blog entitled “Any reasonable offer?

Phil says:

Now that the draw has taken place, automatic Champions League group football has also gone for the Ibrox club which may see them partake in a January firesale of both players.

And if that happens, it will be interesting to see the media spin on their new found status as a ‘player trading club’.
