“Our understanding is” – Anthony Joseph’s exciting ‘stands Celtic in good stead’ Cho transfer update

The Cho gue-Sung transfer saga has been taking a lot of twists and turns like Tommy Burns over the last few days.

With teams from all over Europe and beyond hoping to take the South Korean superstar to their club, it does seem that it could be Celtic who are in pole position to secure his signature as per Sky Sports Anthony Joseph.

Speaking on Celtic Fans TV, Joseph said, “Celtic are trying to negotiate this deal that could potentially happen.

Celtic have got their £3 million bid in and we know that Mainz were the first club to bid for him and that that offer was just lower than what Celtic’s bid was.

But our understanding is that they don’t plan to raise their bid or to match Celtic’s bid either and their Chief Executive, I think, was talking today saying that if it goes higher or the figures that are being talked about in the media, which we know is Celtic’s offer, they wouldn’t be able to match that.

So that stands Celtic in good stead.”

Fingers crossed we can get this deal over the line as he does look like a handy player to have.

With the expected departure of Giakoumakis on the cards, it’s now not a question if Celtic want him, we need him.
