Main stand turnstiles at Celtic Park

Mark Guidi sends Glasgow Derby message that the Bears won’t like

The only manager in Scotland to get the best of Ange Postecoglou this season so far is Stephen Robinson.

The likeable Irishman set his side up in October to frustrate the Hoops and his gameplan worked. Despite Celtic having almost 80% of the possession, we found ourselves on the end of a 2-0 doing and it was all that we deserved.

We were poor that day and St Mirren punished us for it.

We have also not been at our fluent best against Rangers in the last two Glasgow Derbies yet despite Beale’s team being at their best, we still walked away from Ibrox with a point and Hampden with a cup.

Marvelous.

And Mark Guidi has fired a message to Rangers that the Ibrox fans will not like

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Guidi said, “There’s no doubt Ange Postecoglou has the measure of Rangers.

He certainly had it against Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The last time Rangers beat Celtic was almost a year ago in the Scottish Cup semi final after extra time.

So they need to go and do it. Michael Beale has been given the job at Rangers to become the champion. I think it was unrealistic to expect that to happen this season but certainly next season, he’s got to go and build on it.

He needs to find a way by hook or by crook of beating Celtic.

One thing that we know about Ange Postecoglou, he will not allow complacency to set in.

He will be of the same mindset.

Go to Dingwall, get the three points and don’t give Rangers any hope for them coming to Celtic Park.”

Who is under more pressure? Michael Beale or Ange Postecoglou?

All the pressure is on Beale. No matter how the press try to spin it, if he suffers another defeat against us at Celtic Park, there will be some very real questions being asked of the Rangers manager.

And if it’s a complete doing? God help him. Roll on the 8th of April!
