David Martindale is a strange type of football manager.
Here he has a Livingston side punching well above their in the league but yet, he always seems to want to cause controversy whenever he comes up against Celtic or *Rangers.
It’s weird.
And I’ll tell you one thing, see if I was a Livingston fan or player, I wouldn’t be happy with him.

Here he has the perfect opportunity to talk up his own players, their hard work all season but all he seems to want to do is grab the headlines.
With Celtic, it’s all ‘Aw it’s no fair. They huv mare money thin us‘ bollocks.
With them, he always seems to come with some feel-good p*sh that makes him look seriously unprofessional:
Hold up! No mention of budgets? At every press conference when he’s set to face us all we hear is ‘Cellic’s budgit is fourty times bigger thin ma wan!”
And I get that. Create a siege mentality around finances. Get into the players heads and tell them to go and prove you are worth just as much as them.
But when it comes to an Ibrox press conference? Pass me the sick bucket.
The message he is sending his players is completely the opposite. You don’t need me to tell you what it is, these Celtic fans already know:
You just know the weekend is going to be a convincing win for RFC 2012. Wee Hasbulla already getting his excuses in. Waste of time Livi turning up if that’s the case. Saves Davie the ticket price to see his beloved Ranjurs
