“That sort of thing did not go down well with the fans” – Former Sevco star takes swipe at Ibrox fans for THAT picture

The narrow mindedness on the Rangers support never ceases to amaze me.

Remember the picture of their former gaffer Giovanni van Bronckhorst enjoying a spot of lunch with Ange Postecoglou? That sent the Ibrox hordes into a veritable meltdown.

And now, former on loan midfielder James Sands has lifted the lid on the fickleness of the Govan support again when he opened up on the reaction by the Rangers fans after he was spotted out with CCV after we smashed them in the Glasgow Derby.

Speaking via the Football Scotland, Sands said,  “It’s not easy moments, I lived in a good area but once you go into the city centre after you lose the game, it’s not easy.

There was one game where we lost to Celtic and Gregg Berhalter was over watching and he asked me, Malik and Carter-Vickers (for dinner).

“That sort of thing did not go down well with the fans. But that is the sort of thing you learn from, I left all the green at home, it’s great being in that city as they love their teams.

‘I left all the green at home’ – that’s up there with the ultimate pandering to a fan base that spends most of its time stuck in the 1690’s.
