“If Ange does that he will be an absolute genius.” – Former Celt hits nail on head and believes Ange’s future lies in Paradise

Now, when we speak about Ange, we all know the guy is a genius already.

We all know that the gaffer, domestically, has the measure of not only every club in the land, but also the journalists and pundits.

He takes no nonsense from any of them.

But to progress this club to the next level, what does Ange need to do?What does he need to achieve?

Frank McAvennie reckons he knows and it’s all about European progression. He also believes Celtic fans do not need to worry about his future and predicts that he will be here for a good while yet:

“I think he is here for the next few years,” he told Football Insider.

“He is an honourable guy, he wants to do a job. He is here to take Celtic to where I want.

“I think Celtic should be in the group stage every single year. Once you get to the group stage you try and at least finish in the Europa League places. That is what Celtic deserve.

“If Ange does that he will be an absolute genius.”

European progression is where it is at for Ange Postecoglou. That is the legacy he wants to achieve. Whether it’s in the Champions League group stages or reaching a European final in the Europa or Conference League, that is where he wants to measure his Celtic side.

And, for me, that will take a few years yet. The future does look good for the club and it is in safe hands under the gaffer.
