Ange Postecoglou hails ‘unbelievable’ Celtic star

After a hard fought 3-1 wing against Hearts at Celtic Park tonight, Ange Postecoglou could go home and celebrate his 100th game in charge still remaining nine points ahead of our main rivals.

After surviving an early scare, Ange’s men kept their cool and played their football and their relentlessness was rewarded with a fine Haksabanovic goal where some great team play and precise passing allowed the winger to let loose a fearsome shot from the edge of the area into the top right hand corner of Zander Clarke’s net.

But it wasn’t Haksa that was the subject of Ange’s praise.

It was our Japanese striker, Kyogo Furuhashi.

Speaking post match on BBC Sportsound, Ange said, “Yeah, he’s been unbelievable.

I don’t think we used him well tonight at all. I was a bit frustrated with not being able to reward him for the runs he was making.

He just doesn’t get frustrated keeps making those runs and when we do find him, he set up the first goal, scored the second and again was an excellent contributor.”

An assist and a goal (which should have been two had Abada got his final ball right) takes Kyogo to 20 goals in the league and is on course to smash through the 30 barrier with eleven games left to go.

Kyogo has been an absolute sensation and after another man of the match performance, you wouldn’t bet against him getting close to 40 goals this season.
