“Still living in the dark ages”, “Racist and xenophobic show”, “Brit Nat knee bender” – Celtic fans furious reaction to Souness/McClean furore

Just this morning I had written about Graeme Souness’s incredible comments regarding the abuse that James McClean receives at this time of year.

Poppy Season is a scourge of this country. The once respectful symbol of the fallen in two World Wars has been hijacked by certain quarters to meet their own political ends.

McClean refuses to wear one, as his right, due to his well-publicised beliefs but he is now vilified by a section of British society and media and it was covered perfectly by Twitter account IrishPropaganda:

There were many more comments but I couldn’t publicise them due to the nature of the anger being aimed at Souness but it just shows how narrow minded and bigoted his comments are.
