“I think his time at Celtic is absolutely up” – End of the road predicted for Hoops star after outburst

He’s really done himself no favours here has he?

Chris Jullien took to the press to tell of his disappointment of not being picked for Celtic this year and, effectively, could have triggered the beginning of the end of his Hoops career.

Having recovered from a nightmare knee injury, the big Frenchman took to French media to relay his dismay at his lack of game time since January last year.

He also told of his annoyance that Nir Bitton seemed to be ahead of him. Now he never used Bittons name but when he says via Vital Celtic News, ““Now it’s his [Postecoglou’s] choice and sometimes he doesn’t name me on the bench because he prefers to take a midfielder who can play in central defence.

“I’m unsatisfied with my playing time this season because it’s frustrating and all I want is to be on the pitch.”

We all get who you are talking about Chris, but this was an unwise move taking a dig at the manager.

And Natasha Meikle from A Celtic State of Mind agrees, “The minute a player suggests that they don’t want to be a Celtic anymore,. I have absolutely no interest in him playing for the club again.

“And I don’t think anything’s been lost in translation enough that we don’t get the gist of what he’s saying.

“He needs to be playing football and he wants to be playing football.

“I mean, listen, Jullien has had an horrific injury, and he’s been out for a significant period of time for his career.

“He needs to be playing football again. He needs to start playing regular football again to try and his career following that injury.

“I fully appreciate that. This is absolutely not the way to go about making sure you’re playing regular football at Celtic.

“The way to go about that, is showing Ange in training every single day,  why you should merit a place and that starting eleven or coming off the bench or whatever it is.

“If he’s not doing that, then that’s not enough. He’s not going to get in that team and Ange won’t be told by anyone whether they should start or not.

“Ange, Kennedy, McManus and Strachan whoever, they watch Jullien in training every single day.

“And if what they’ve seen on the training pitch every single day makes them think that he isn’t the right fit for what they need him to be doing in the team, then you can’t argue with that.

“If he’s got any complaints about the fact that our midfielders are getting picked before him to be on the bench in case of any issues on centre defence, and he’s got to look at himself in that case.

“So I think for Jullien, his time at Celtic is absolutely up.”

Oh dear Chris. You certainly haven’t endeared yourself to the Celtic fans with this.
