“You’re part of the Celtic family now”, “Absolutely brilliant” – BBC man reaps the praise of the Celtic support after superb Lisbon Lions praise

After one f**k up, comes the reprieve.

The BBC in general are not to be trusted with their coverage of anything Celtic, especially the way their pundits conduct themselves on Sportsound, but at least one man had the knowledge and courage to correct a mistake made last night when a reporter claimed Liverpool will become the first British club to win a quadruple of trophies in one season.

It caused a ruckus and a barrage of complaints from Celtic fans as the reporter basically just wiped out the memory of the Lisbon Lions in one fell swoop.

Up steps Mike Bushell, who not only redeemed the BBC but impressed the fans with this brilliant piece of knowledge:

The Lisbon Lions will always be remembered as legends of the game and that should never be allowed to be forgotten by anyone, regardless of what another club is set to achieve.

Mike impressed these Celtic fans and it’s fair to say a free pint down the Gallowgate will be waiting for this BBC reporter if he ever makes the trip up north:
