“I think he will” – Boyata’s manager makes worrying Postecoglou prediction

Celtic Park

Celtic must be doing well. Because it’s the only time the Scottish media start to link our manager with other clubs.

As the Hoops close in on the league, the talk begins about Ange joining an EPL club.

You can almost set your watch by these comments.

And as per usual, it’s the Daily Record stirring the pot. And from one of the most random people ever. The Hertha Berlin manager.

Thomas Broich said of Ange, “I kept talking about this guy and everybody was like, ‘Yeah, but this is Australia, this is Japan’. And now that he has arrived in Europe, I can actually show them clips using Wyscout and all those tools.

“And I’m like: ‘This is what he’s doing. This was against Rangers and look at the chances they created. Look at the second goal they scored’.

“It’s just fantastic football, like build-up play from the keeper, rotations everywhere, the defence, they don’t even know who to follow. They’re getting destabilised like crazy.

“Well, there’s always the skeptical element about it, obviously.

“It’s not the Premier League yet. But to me, it feels just like he’s edging closer, and closer, and closer.

“And I just hope that one day he will get the chance to coach in one of the big, big leagues. Personally, I think he will.”

Maybe he will. Maybe he won’t.

But the timing of the article is stinking as Celtic prepare for Ross County and to tie up the league.

It’s as if the media know they can’t rattle the manager so they target the fans instead with their anti Celtic rubbish.

Embarrassing.
