Kris Boyd, what can be said about this plumb that hasn’t been said before?
Well, what is it that was said about his club before? ‘Occasional disgrace, constant embarrassment’?
Something like that anyway.
But the former Rangers striker, now wannabe Chris Sutton pundit, picked up his crayons over the weekend and gave his take on the Glasgow Derby. Or more specifically, the Celtic fans reaction to it.
In his column last night, Boyd spewed when talking about referee Bobby Madden’s performance, “But show me anyone who was perfect in Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final.
“Some Celtic-minded individuals don’t see it that way, of course.
“Whether it’s their supporters or pundits once connected to the club, they want to blame the ref rather than look at what their team could have done better.
“Japanese star Hatate was closer to the supporters in the Celtic end than he was from being onside. Where are the complaints about that?
“No, there aren’t any because that doesn’t suit their agenda and deflection tactics after a deserved defeat.
“Rangers won because they were the better team.”
And here is the thing. Not one Celtic fan has said Madden’s performance affected the result. Not one. Or pundit.
Pretty much everyone is in agreement that Celtic didn’t deserve to win whilst highlighting the ineptitude of the referee’s performance.
Both are not mutually exclusive and it is not that difficult to understand for a person with half a brain cell that isn’t constantly thinking about the next ‘Celtic bad’ article.
How this guy get’s a gig like this I will never know.
