Yesterdays defeat hurt.
Absolutely no doubt about it, and whilst there were many players who failed to turn up on the day, we are now starting to witness a change of opinion on one of Celtic’s early season fan favourites.
Jota has long been hailed as a class act by the Celtic supporters and in many games this season, he has shown flashes of brilliance prior to his injury just before Christmas.
But since then, we have not seen the player we had become accustomed to. The player that run riot against Aberdeen back in September. The player that played THAT pass against Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
And some fans are now starting to have doubts on whether or not he should sign for the team permanently.
I think personally, he has no intentions of signing with Celtic permanently and is seeking a move elsewhere or is wanting to go back to Benfica. I hope I am wrong, but that is where I am at at the moment.
And these Celtic fans are starting to have their doubts about him too:
For me, Jota is trying to be the showman (and therefore most influential player) in order to get a move somewhere else. Too many times he takes the selfish option. Benched for next few games. Early promise rapidly faded, admittedly since injury

Jota for £6m is a no brainer. Think he was playing for himself and not the team yesterday – had a great chance to play in Maeda and never and took a few mad shots when a pass was on. Your list for clear out is 100% spot on

Jota has deffo gone off the boil? Or just dip in form? Maybe his heads been turned by benfica and he’s already off in summer. I’d keep him if possible on his game he’s most skilful player in Scotland. I know lovric signed for another team but I’d try sign him
