“I don’t believe him”, “It was only a matter of time”, – Stunning Follow Follow thread as BBC reporter racially abused at Ibrox

There is nothing more abhorrent than racism in Scottish society, let alone in Scottish football.

With all the outrage over Glen Kamara it seems that there is a section of the Ibrox support that is so engrained in their hatred and bitterness that even after one of their own players experience of racist abuse, it will simply not make them look at their values.

Just over the weekend, BBC reporter Bobby Nwanze outed the racist abuse he had suffered on twitter and the response on fan forum Follow Follow, was shocking, but not surprising. On two counts.

The first count is that many fans on the forum agreed that there is still a racist element in their support and that it was just a matter of time before it reared it’s ugly head again.

The second is worse. Outright denial of fans claiming he made it up.

Just to be clear, the reporter is a massive Rangers fans and his own don’t believe him when he said he was racially abused.

Absolutely shocking low life behaviour:

Utterly depressing.
